When someone makes an assumption about me or my culture it makes me feel annoyed. I feel annoyed because they don't know me yet they're going to go ahead and judge me. However sometimes, it doesn't bother me because people can't help doing it. It's human nature.
I get mad because people shouldn't just make assumptions without knowing everyone. You can't just say something and generalize it to everyone. Each indivisual is different. So you can't just make random assumptions towards a certain community or culture without knowing everyone with in it.
i feel kind off weird when im hanging out with my friends when we go to the mall to buy some sneakers or clothes. They look at us and think were going to take something because of the way were dressed.
When someone makes assumptions about my community or culture I feel hurt and embaressed. It makes me feel less then what I am and I don't think it is right for someone to make assumptions sbout other people without knowing them.
when someone makes an assumption about my community or culture i just feel like they are very ignorant, and they are not worth talking too. also, there are assumptions in every culture in the world, so i just forget about it, and think this is an ignorant person im not gonna talk to them right now.
Great responses students! You are becoming global citizens right before our very eyes!
Kayla, Marley and Madison - you are completely right! We shouldn't judge people before we get to know them. Letting it not bother us takes a lot of effort at times - to not take it too personal.
Tiejeed - I hope you wouldn't want to fight them! There are other ways to resolve the issue.
Johmar, Gamil, Rangel, Zoey, Victor, Christian, Devin - How can we work around this so that it won't make us feel bad? Is there something we can do to alleviate the sadness?

I would feel terrible if someone assumed the worst about me and my culture.
